Several of the recent executive orders passed by Donald Trump have been the foundation to even more protests. So far Trump hasn’t overreached his authority constitutionally since some of the few responsibilities actually given to the federal government is to keep itself from infringing on our rights, establish post offices and protect us from invasion. Considering FedEx has showed more patriotism in recent years than the USPS, you have to admit the fed has deserved a little bit of shaking up. When it comes to protecting us against invasion I think Trump is actually being more reasonable than he was during the Republican Primaries. I’m oppose to any government opposition brought against a religion because not only does that break the golden rule (do unto others as you would want done unto you), but that grants the government the future authority to go after other religions. If they persecute Muslims, sooner or later politicians will use that same authority against Christians. With ISIS trying to infiltrate Syrian refugees I don’t think it is a bigoted concept to put a halt on Syrian immigrants until, as Trump said, “we have reviewed and implemented the most secure policies.” If you have complete faith in the current vetting process, then wait so our president and his advisers can review it and maybe we’ll see the ban lifted. Don’t just assume he’s lying and wants to kill foreigners.
During the Obama Administration I understood the feeling of distrust against the president, but that was after months of lies and years of unmet promises. Just give Donald Trump a chance, he hasn’t implemented a “Muslim Ban” and has rethought his original plans to deport every illegal immigrant. With time we’ll be able to determine whether the conspiracies are right and Trump just hates foreigners, or he’s simply looking out for the United States’ security. Considering he’s married to an immigrant and keeps getting more logical on his foreign policy, I’m going to side more on the later. Either way, it is good not to put blind faith into the president and I pray he doesn’t start getting greedy with the executive orders. However we didn’t see this kind of mass concern during the last administration, especially before his first full month in office.
Which bring us to some other news; the news is no longer news. Where are these people who have been showing such concern getting their assumptions from? Who told them that 60 million people voted for a homophobic, anti-semantic, racist when in reality those people voted for a guy who said the Supreme Court ruling on marriage was a done deal, who has already defended Israel better than Barack Obama and has made less racist comments than Hillary Clinton? Liberals are right, there is a mass conspiracy of disinformation, but it is not found in “fly over country” it’s found in Las Angeles. Not only do celebrities, major media and career Democrats all align and target millennials simultaneously, but they send their zombies straight into a riot when they don’t get their way. When you tell your supporters that the president is the worst thing since Adolf Hitler you get the most intolerant illogical protests hitting the streets. What’s sad about the protestors is this is literally all they have. The government gave them everything and filled them full of false truths for 8 years, this isn’t just the only thing they have to do, it’s the only thing they can do. If conservatives thought Adolf Hitler took control of the executive branch, they wouldn’t just be rioting, their would be an organized force of militias marching on Washington as we speak. Either these protestors are just a symbol of a crybaby state, or if they truly believe “this is about life or death” I’d be terrified to think they’re our first line of defense.
I’d love to welcome more people to the United States of America and for us to show them as friends why our way of life works. However the refugee crisis is huge, distant and deserves time to be examined when we just had an election. Who knows, maybe our new president will wrap up these wars and find a place for the Syrians that isn’t on the other side of the world. That’s a complete guess, but it has about as much proof behind it as the people saying, “Trump just hates brown people.”
