With every passing day since the election I have grown to believe more and more that neither the Democrat or Republican Party is offering a positive future. Sure, both promise economic or material pleasure, but neither tries to give any true purpose to society. After the election I defended Donald Trump against some stupid arguments and propaganda spread by the left-wing. However I never endorsed him for a reason. Donald Trump is not a virtues man, or even a good communicator to make up for it. While I’ve previously explained why he won, I don’t see his election as drastically beneficial either. What Trump gave us was a chance, nothing more. Hillary Clinton wanted education and the economy to be out of the hands of the people and run by the federal government. That is not freedom, but either way we will lose our freedom as long as the American people aren’t willing to take up the responsibility to uphold it. Democrats work night and day to influence society through Hollywood, and while it’s not working, neither is the GOP. Republicans are either fighting with each other or abandoning the very conservative principles that got them elected. Each major party has lost its mind and both believe the other is collapsing. If the Democrats get their way, America will be an agnostic socialist empire. If Republicans stay in power, nothing will pass, crony capitalism will continue to be passed-off as true capitalism and we’ll never be at peace with foreign nations. Both don’t sound much like that shining city upon a hill Ronald Reagan was talking about.
Each of these parties have divided the United States not just politically, but socially in order to make America what they want it to be. Parties were intended to help better represent the people, but these parties have retained power for so long that they force us to represent them. The Republican Party doesn’t want the Freedom Caucus or people like Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Justin Amash, Thomas Massie, Dana Loesch or anyone at The Blaze. They’re not representative of the Tea Party Movement anymore, but crony capitalism and border security. While that might sound better than socialism and open borders, it is not exactly the issues that got them elected in the first place. Meanwhile the Democratic Party has always lead corruption, has the most undemocratic primaries with their “super delegates” and continue to blame Americans for their problems. These parties are no longer about the people, but simply use the people for their success. The only thing that keeps one horrible party from complete success is the other horrible party. Even state issues are overlooked because the legislative branch is no longer about finding a good representative, but instead getting your party elected. I’ve gotten increasingly worried for the past several weeks because I fear both our parties. Neither will lead us to any real hope, and that means our future rests completely in the hands of the people.
Without religious virtue society cannot function in a free state. Government will need to step in to keep people from starving, killing and enslaving themselves. And while our liberal friends love to trust government, every example of history says this freedom was worth fighting for. That is why social conservatives do no relent on their religious values. Not because we enjoy being screamed at for having a standard, but because a society with no reason to do good will inevitably give up their freedom. It is a voluntary lifestyle that protects our liberties. During these times I’ve gotten increasingly worried about our country’s moral standing. Democrats practically promote moral decay, and Republicans abandoned any standards in order to defeat the Democrats. While we desperately need a Great Awakening there is also the concern of what will we do with these political parties after-the-fact? My answer to major political parties can only be to replace or invade them.
What do I mean by replace or invade? Well in 2020 we can either get as many Americans as possible to register Republican and get a more virtuous, calm and liberty-minded individual in office, or disperse to better parties. If the Republican Party is right and the Democratic Party is dead, then what party will take its place? If the Democratic Party is right and the Republicans are self-destructing, what party will take its place? The worse thing for the Conservative Christian is for the Republican Party to collapse and the Libertarian Party take its place. While libertarianism is greater than the Democratic Platform, that party is specifically lacking in virtue or “social conservatism.” This means all this talk of religious virtue upholding the Constitution will be openly opposed by both major parties. What I think would be the best possible outcome is if the Libertarian Party replaces the Democratic Party and the Constitution Party replaces the Republican Party. Both these parties represent free markets and limited government, but the Constitution Party greatly represents all the virtues Republicans claim to hold. If the Democratic Party survives past 2024 in its current state I can’t imagine our Constitution remaining the law of the land much longer. If the Republican Party stays the same, or is not replaced by 2020, I fear conservatives and their values won’t be represented for a very long time. Obviously, now is too early to make predictions, but 2020 may be a very important election year. Parties may drastically change, and if they don’t each will be desperate to keep it that way. We could be seeing the end of current party platforms, or the beginning to many years under secularism. It’s up to us to make sure those platforms change for the benefit of liberty and the people are awake by 2020.
